I am a 25-year-old Italian communication designer and researcher. I hold a BA from the Free University of Design and Arts in Bolzano. After working at Studio folder as a graphic designer, and for BAU as an assistant curator, I moved to the Netherlands and graduated from GEO—Design, a MA programme at Design Academy Eindhoven with Formafantasma and Metahaven. I am now based in Milano, working with Alcova on a year-long research project. My work expands through different media with a focus on editorial and graphic design. An essay on confetti, on its controversial, chaotic, transient, counter-productive, thingy exhistence. Confetti serves as a case study to observe the paradoxes of modern consumption and the related emotions at stake. The tossing of confetti generates great pleasure, it is a liberating action, temporarily suspending the morality of the “throwaway society", indulging in the wonder of witnessing things fall, and decay.
